| alphabet:Whilst on holiday in 2007, Niessen & de Vries started photographing the ornamental wrought iron fencing seen on many windows on the island of Samos. This photographic archive remained dormant until asked by Maharam to come up with a concept for their Digital Projects (a curated repository of large-scale digitally printed wall installations). This seemed like the ideal opportunity to incorporate the archive into a design. |
