| actors:Interiors designed by Grave Images are similar to stage sets: spaces patiently waiting the arrival of actors. The design approach ackknowledges how Graven Images stage-manage the mevement of people within the spaces they create, and addresses the cinematic quality of their work. This theatrical interpretation is used to create a film-script-like structure for the presentation of their projects. The key element is the typeface Tartan, created for this book, inspired by the graphic forms evident in the photographed projects. The typeface (the characters) literally inhabit the illustrated spaces, giving them imagined animation and sound. |
